Members of the Rhode Island Dahlia Society wish to thank all who supported our on-line tuber sale and hope the tubers you received met with your satisfaction and grew well for you.
It was a poor dahlia season for many with extremely hot weather for a period which set the dahlias back. They rallied in late August and September, and by mid-September were simply glorious.
Sadly, the flower season is over for most growers. Many have already experienced a frost and are preparing to dig and divide their treasurers. For those looking for guidance on digging and dividing tubers, go to dahlia.org/growing/dahlia-university on the ADS website for a comprehensive article with tips from an experienced grower.
We are still unable to hold meetings in person but look forward to the day that we can. Meanwhile, stay safe and contact us with any questions.
